The Queen of England Counts Her Gold
Posted on: 5th March 2013 By Anita

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh recently made a visit to the Bank of England and toured the gold vaults holding the country’s gold reserves. The gold doesn’t really belong to the Queen, but gold reserves are an important part of a country’s financial stability.

This video from “The Telegraph” website shows the royal couple strolling through many stocks of gold bars in the bank’s vaults.

The video also shows the Queen’s signature on a 1 million pound note in the bank’s guest book. She first visited the Bank of England and signed the guest book in 1937 at the age of 11 and this recent visit was her eighth.
